“Paneer Tandoori Pizza: The Perfect Desi Twist to Your Favorite Italian Treat”

If you’ve had the tandoori paneer from Pizza Hut or the hot version from Domino’s, you would know how totally addictive that smoky spicy cheese pull is! Today I’m going to show you how to make the most epic tandoori paneer pizza from home! Crispy crust, charred paneer, tangy sauce, gooey cheese, and only about 30 min of active time. Ingredients to make paneer Tandoori:

Step-by-Step Method

1. Marinate the Paneer

Combine the yogurt and lemon juice with the spices and just a hint of your oil. Put the paneer pieces into the mixture before covering with a lid or plastic wrap and placing in the fridge ideally for about 20 minutes. The time is short, however, it is more than enough time as it would allow the dairy and spices to bond unto the marinated yogurt cheese. 

2. Pre-Heating your Oven

After the marinate has finished, set your oven to the hottest temperature it can possibly manage for you. For most of your ovens it will be a range of 230-250 °C. While it is pre-heating you also want to put in a pizza stone or tray upside down; the hotter it is the better, if you are following through on hotness with a blisteringly hot stone or tray then you will really achieve the bakery base.

3. Char the Paneer

After you have skewered the marinated cubes you can obviously put them in the oven and 

roast them for 6-8 minutes, turning halfway until the edges are charred. This is a key part of the ultimate paneer tandoori pizza.

4. Build the Pizza

Spoon several tablespoons of sauce onto the base and spread evenly. Then, pour on half the cheese and followed by the paneer and veggies. Top with the other half of the cheese, fill. Get a brush, brush the edge of the crust with butter, and sprinkle oregano.

5. Bake the Pizza

Carefully lift the pizza + the patty onto the hot stone and bake for 10 – 12 minutes, or until the crust is crisp, and the cheese is bubbly and has some gold spots.

6. Serve

Let rest for two minutes (to lessen the cheese lava!), slice, and serve with mint mayo or more chili flakes etc.

What makes this better? 

Customizable heat. Add chili flakes for more heat or don’t for milder heat.  Fresh paneer. Google’s habit for chewy cheese, may tend to make store-bought pies chewy, freshly cubed will stay softer. Less expensive. Even if you used high-end ingredients, you will spend a fraction of delivery costs.
